1-24-2018  Chapter 12  An Eye Opening Experience Good Evening Everybody, how are ya?  I get a lot of windshield time during the day and its no shock, especially since I have said it numerous times, that I listen to podcasts all the time.  I don't even listen to the radio anymore.  No music, no sports talk, just podcasts.  I knew when I was getting involved in the market garden spectrum of agriculture I was going to have to listen to people that I wouldn't normally give the time of day.  Not that they are necessarily bad people , they just don't align with my way of thinking.  Which is ok, we don't have to agree politically, socially or any other way for me to learn from them and hopefully at some point them learning from me. But holy hell people, even I was shocked at what I found. I knew going in that a lot of people that are in this world are ultra left, Bernie supporting, liberal and for a lack of a better word, hippy type people....

1-21-2017 Where Are All The Heroes?  Good Evening Everybody.  I figured it was time to get back in the saddle again and do some writing.  We finished watching Band of Brothers yesterday.  I saw it in 2001 and a few times since then before finding it on Amazon Prime a few days ago.  Deb said she had never watched it before.  I think she liked it.  The final clip showed Major Winters who was the brains and heart of E company reciting a quote from a letter.  A grandson asked his grandfather if he was a hero for serving in WW II.  The grandfather said back, "No, but I served in a company of heroes".   Now I know everything that comes out of Hollywood is tilted to what ever direction they want it to be, but I also know WW II vets, members of the greatest generation, seemed to have some rather large testicles.  They had to have to accomplish the things they did, to face the things they faced, seen the things they saw.  It go...

1-4-18 Chapter 10- Can Oklahoma Become A Green State? How is everybody?  Its starting to warm up here, finally.................40-50 degree weather never felt so good.  So today our illustrious governor set June 26th as the date that medical marijuana would be voted on by the people of the state.  Whoa..........dude, could Oklahoma really become "Red Hills High"?  Well, here is what I think about the whole medical marijuana issue.  I wish this was a black and white issue.  One where a simple Yes or No would be easy to answer, but its really not.  On the face of the issue I would vote against the proposition.  Then human factors start invading my brain.  I have had several medical professionals tell me they know some of their patients would benefit from the passage of this measure.  I get it, I understand it and I still would vote No.  Does that make me a heartless bastard?  Well maybe it does.  What I also see is ...
